I am a fiber artist and I love the materials that I use, the processes that I employ, and the colors of yarn that surround me. The yarn is saturated with color and allows me to convey my thoughts or inner visions to you, the viewer. My work is physical and tactile creating a sacred, or spiritual space within, crying out to be touched. Initially, the yarn speaks to me. I lean in and listen. Banish Misfortune II is about ornament and texture, skilled labor, timeless beauty, and the inner spirit made visible.
