This oil painting originated from my youngest daughter riding a spring horse at my parents house. The joy and fun that she expressed on her face while she was playing was so special that as a mom I had to take pictures. A few years later I came across this picture and knew I wanted to paint it, but also include what she could be imaging. I asked my daughter where she could be pretending to be and she said, “SPACE!” My goal while painting this piece was really to have the view have a sense of her joy and imagination. I hope you enjoy it!
