Late last summer my son-in-law took a canoe to explore The Marsh. I had often stood on its shore and marveled at its beauty over the years. The weather was very challenging and at times paddling was hard. We pulled up on the far peninsula into the heavy reeds and wild blueberry bushes. Looking across the water, there was no sign of humanity - only a couple of cabins. Seeing this view filled me with the nostalgia of those times.
